The National Education Radio's Administrative Planning 2024
The National Education Radio (hereinafter referred to as "NER") is the only professional educational radio station in Taiwan. It is responsible for five major tasks: "planning and implementation of educational policies and decrees", "planning, production, digital management and promotion of educational broadcasting programs and educational news programs", "assistance and promotion of school broadcasting education", "promotion of social education and public services", and "other educational broadcasting-related matters".
Under the five major tasks of the Station and in line with the policy of the Ministry of Education, creative cultural and educational programs are produced and broadcast to actively play the role of facilitating education and providing customer-oriented services to provide listeners with high-quality listening quality so that the public could listen to the Station and understand the current educational policies and trends, and achieve the vision of lifelong learning by listening to the Station's programs.
Following the Executive Yuan's policy guidelines for 2024, and in line with the Ministry of Education's medium-term policy plan and approved budget, and in response to current trends in education, lifelong learning needs, and the NER's future development needs, the Station has prepared its 2024 policy plan, with the goals and priorities shown as follows:
1. Promote educational policies and decrees and communicate educational concepts
(1) Policy advocacy programs to establish a communication platform.
(2) To provide real-time domestic and international education information through cultural and educational news.
(3) Focus on education and trend issues to grasp the latest trends.
(4) To strengthen the coverage of local rural education.
(5) To expand the international perspective to enhance the global mobility of students.
2. Production and broadcasting of quality radio programs and creation of lifelong learning opportunities:
(1) Play media responsibility to participate in public services.
(2) Implement holistic education to create a happy society.
(3) Promote social education to encourage lifelong learning.
(4) To develop Taiwan's characteristics and pass on diverse cultures.
(5) Emphasize the disadvantaged groups and care for the health of the whole person.
(6) Incorporate lively music elements to encourage youth participation.
(7) Strengthen the training of academia-industry’s talent development to enhance competitiveness.
3. Strengthen marketing and promotion to expand the listening audience:
(1) Participate in national broadcasting competitions to enhance visibility.
(2) Conduct audience opinion surveys and studies to understand needs.
(3) Organize broadcasting camps and multi-creative and diversified social education activities to expand audience participation.
(4) Provide a guided tour service of the Sound Story Hall to increase audience exposure.
4. Promote broadcasting education and nurture broadcasting talents.
(1) Provide excellent teachers to promote broadcasting education in schools.
(2) Organize student internships to provide career exploration opportunities.
(3) Organize a nationwide student broadcasting competition to create a platform for learning and putting into practice what has been learned.
(4) Train and utilize volunteers to create broadcasting service resources.
5. Use of digital technology to create service areas.
(1) Expand the reach of services for the use of website members.
(2) Use social media pluralism to market physical services.
(3) Provide an online radio station to create digital learning opportunities.
