「南投星空季」是每年初夏到秋季南投指標性的觀星旅遊慶典，也是推廣普及天文科學教育的重要活動。
The Nantou Starry Sky Festival, hosted by the Nantou County Government, is Nantou's flagship stargazing festival from early summer to autumn each year. It is also an important event to promote and popularize astronomical education.
南投星空季從2019年開始常態性的每年舉辦，成功向國際暗空組織(IDA)爭取認證台灣唯一、亞洲第三座的「暗空公園」，也就是位在仁愛鄉的「合歡山國際暗空公園」，更因為南投境內高山環繞以及擁有眾多無光害、無污染的自然環境，對於觀測天文的條件來說非常友善，從那時開始，縣府就憑藉著觀光大縣的優勢，專注在打造南投的星空旅遊熱潮。
In 2019, through the joint efforts of the county government, industry, government, and academia, the International Dark Sky Association (IDA) successfully obtained certification for the Hehuanshan International Dark Sky Park in Ren'ai Township, Taiwan's only and Asia's third Dark Sky Park. Nantou is surrounded by mountains and has a vast, light-free, pollution-free natural environment, making it ideal for astronomical observation.
