you are probably doomed to pizza on a couch at home.

Joey:

Hope:

So, you should have planned ahead.

Joey:

I know. But my boyfriend just came back from his study in Canada last month. And he is leaving for school next week.

That’s why I would like to treat him to a romantic restaurant where there are candlelight,

a fancy menu and even a violinist playing music in the corner.

Hope:

So, why don’t you cook by yourself at home?

Joey:

Joey:

Yes. Wouldn’t that be too crazy? You know what I mean.

Hope:

I understand. Besides the restaurants. The price for flowers are even as high as your restaurant bill.

Joey:

Don’t remind me! Roses are way too expensive this year!

Hope:

So, what are you going to do if there aren’t any suitable restaurants for you?

Joey:

I don’t know.

Hope:

What about skipping those clichés and making your own traditions?

Joey:

Clichés? What’s that?

Hope:

Clichés are things or opinions that have been done or said before so often that they became not interesting or even boring.

Joey:

I see. Clichés means陳腔濫調?

Hope:

Yes. You can try to make this day a special one for both you and your boyfriend.

Joey:

Hope:

Or drawing a card and write some messages that you would like to say in it.

Joey:

It’s about showing love, not just spending money.

Joey:

Okay. I like the idea. Maybe I can try making my own card. And buy him a box of chocolates.

Hope:
