Hey, Joey, how’s your day?

Joey:

Just fine. How’s your day, Hope?

Hope:

As usual. So, what happened to you, Joey? You don’t sound energetic!

Joey:

Huh? Oh! I was just wondering when I can be rich? 真希望我有錢!

Hope:

Hey, same here! I wish I were rich, too. But what makes you say so?!

Joey:

You know Jennifer? The one in the personnel department.

Hope:

Jennifer? I know her. Why?

Joey:

I had lunch with her today and she told me that she is going to Europe next week.

She has been abroad four times this year and it’s only June!

Hope:

Wow! Didn’t she just come back from the States last month? I saw her post photos on Instagram.

And before that she spent the New year in Korea, right?

Joey:

Right! And after Korea, she went skiing in Japan with her family! She is so rich! (Sigh!) 貧窮限制了我們的想像!

Hope:

Yeah! Being poor really limits our imagination, doesn’t it?

Joey:

Absolutely. Being poor really limits our imagination.

I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have a personal chef like hers to cook for me! 那真的超乎我的想像!

Hope:

Seriously?! Wow! It is beyond my imagination!

Joey:

Yes! It is beyond my imagination, too! 想像每天早上從如城堡的房子中甦醒的感覺!

Hope:

Imagine waking up every morning in a castle-like house! Wow! It is beyond my imagination!

Joey:

It is beyond my imagination, too! 如果可以，我也想在海邊買一棟big villa，every day聽著海浪拍打聲海岸!

Hope:

Are you sure you want to live in a villa by the sea and listen to the waves crashing on the beach every day?!

Tell you what, you might get tired with the sound of the waves within 3 days!

Joey:

Come on! Being poor has limited your imagination!

Hope:

Perhaps! But comparing living in a big villa, it can be even harder for me to imagine having to clean up such a big villa every day!

Joey:

Cleaning up the house? No way! 太累了! If I were rich enough, I would hire some housekeepers to 幫我做家事.

Hope:

To do the house chores for you.

Joey:

Yes, I would ask the housekeepers to do the house chores. Oh! It’s beyond my imagination!

Hope:

But hey, Joey, you can even imagine to own a private jet to take you everywhere around the world,

just because you long for the exotic food there!

Joey:

A private jet? 私人飛機? That’s a good idea! But what does long for the exotic food mean?

Hope:

Long for the exotic food means you want to eat some very unique food in some countries faraway .

Joey:

Hey. That’s a good one, too.

Hope:

Feeling better?

Joey:

Yes! Much better. At least, we are still able to support our life in reality!

Hope:

A little dreaming never hurts anyone, right? You see, even Jennifer herself, who is as rich as a queen,

would still choose to go to work like us. So, let’s get back to work before the boss finds out!

Joey:

You are right!
