今天介紹的這首歌曲《knock three times》是一首70年代的歌，來自Tony Orlando 東尼·奧蘭多 和 Dawn 黎明合唱團的作品。《knock three times》敲三下在西方來說，其實是「我愛你」的意思。而歌詞描述男主角暗戀著住在樓下的女孩，於是塞了一張紙條直接表白詢問，如果女孩願意，就在天花板敲三下，如果不願意就敲水管兩下。有趣的是，在台灣很多人第一次接觸到這首西洋歌曲，卻是拜黃俊雄布袋戲所賜。因為1971年推出的「六合三俠傳」有個非常逗趣的角色，每次他一出場，就響起這首翻唱《knock three times》的台語翻唱版本。
