二戰之後由於厭戰，在歌壇出現了許多以反戰為訴求的歌手，例如約翰·列儂、鮑勃·迪倫、瓊·拜亞、平克·弗洛伊德等等，皆以歌曲來提醒世人戰爭的痛苦，而其中Bob Dylan又被稱為反戰之父，並在2016年獲得諾貝爾和平獎的殊榮。
