這首歌是 哈里斯合唱團 The Hollies 在 70年代所唱紅的一首歌曲, 直到現今依舊是首歷久不衰的經典名曲。
這首歌還有個故事~
「He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother」是來自愛爾蘭一位神父的名言, 他充滿著愛心。第一次世界大戰期間, 他注意到社會上許多地方, 有著許多無家可歸的孩子。他爭取到教會的許可, 在1917年租下一棟舊房子, 收容那些孩子, 並名為「孤兒樂園」。
在神父愛心下長大的孩子, 後來也都回去照顧其他不幸的孩童。
1938年, 這位神父的故事, 被拍成了一部感人的電影, 片名就叫做「孤兒樂園」。
