木匠妹卡倫．卡本特（Karen Carpenter）及其兄理察．卡本特（Richard Capenters），出生於美國康乃狄克州，理察是位很有才華的藝人，演唱、彈琴、製作及歌曲創作都能勝任，與妹妹組建樂團後，甘為配角為妹妹寫歌伴奏。
